Most teachers who print this one print another within a week. Pick the next one and it comes out matching this one.
Your next sheet is free too. But you will type your name again, and it will come out in a different typeface, with different margins, from whoever made it. That is what a folder of free printables looks like by October.
The school-year pass is $39, once.
One payment for the school year. Not a subscription.
A reading log is not really a record. It is the thing that makes reading happen on a Tuesday night, and the initial is the only part of it doing any work.
Plenty of children come back with a grandmother's initials, or an older sister's, or a neighbor's. A box labeled parent quietly asks those children to explain their household to a worksheet. Grown-up asks nothing.
A monthly grid guarantees empty boxes, and empty boxes read as failure to an eight-year-old and as a scolding to the adult who signs the bottom.
Two weeks of rows gets filled. It comes back, it goes out again, and nobody has to look at what they did not do.
If a night gets away from you, skip the box and start fresh. The log is not a debt.
Most printables are designed on a monitor and then run on a machine in a workroom with a toner budget and a department head watching it. That is where the color washes out, the thin rules disappear, and the edges get clipped.
There is no cartoon border, no motivational banner, no decorative font. A reading log's whole job is to hold a child's handwriting, so the handwriting gets the room and everything else stays small and quiet at the top and the bottom.
It is also the reason this prints in about four seconds and does not cost the workroom anything worth noticing.
